disorientation
So today at the end of orientation, I got my two white coats and my pager. I'm official! Or official-looking. I still have to get my new hospital ID that says MD on it, though, once the ID office gets its shit together and prints me one. I also picked up my two sets of standard issue green scrubs, even though I already stole countless pairs of various hues from different hospitals over the years. Can't say no to more scrubs. Especially since they had it in size XS, which is really a rare thing, so I had to take advantage of that, even though they're that sallow-face-inducing green color. (Or, as it said on the box, "Jade.")
I am having a passionate love affair with my new Pocket PC. It is my boyfriend. Or maybe its my lesbian girlfriend. Whatever, I love it. I listened to MP3s on it on the subway en route to work, took notes on it during the employee benefits presentation at orientation, and played fun games on it during a boring health informatics lecture. I can read the New York Times on it, draw pictures, look at digital photos, calculate maintenance fluids. And play Tetris. It rocks my pathetic little world.
I'm tired. I have to go to sleep now.
Oh yeah, it was Friday the 13th today. If you didn't get crushed by a falling piano, I guess you're one of the lucky ones. I didn't get crushed either, but I did spill some tea on my jacket, so there you go.
