another year over

So let's see, my 2002, to recap:

          * I got engaged
          * Decided to become a pediatrician
          * After the worst moving experience ever,
     commenced living in sin with Joe
          * Adopted an adorable hellion-hound (after one
            attempt foiled by dog Nazis)
          * I ended my torrid love affair with Britney
            Yes, it's true, we're no longer an item.
     Thanks for your support through these tough
     times, you all.  Now is the time to mend.

Not too shabby.  And on the plate for 2003:

          * Get hitched
          * Graduate from medical school
          * If luck holds, get the first real full-time
     "paying" job of my life, making slave wages
     after eight years of advanced education (and
     countless hours of lowbrow education, which
     should also be compensated)
          * Become glamorous, fiercely intelligent
     She-Ra-type figure with rapier wit and nice
            hair (hopefully)

Looks good.

Nothing much in the works for tonight.  I think our plan is to get dinner downtown and then wait for one of our friends to call us with news of some party or happenings that we can horn in on.  There have been mumblings of such parties thrown by "some guy I knew in college" or "this chick whose cousin I knew in high school," but so far, no definitive plans have been fleshed out.  We are much too lazy to plan an activity ourselves, and much too poor to pay for pre-choergraphed public festivities.

Please throw a party tonight and invite us.
