fucking popups
Troubling things are happening on my computer.
You know how when you visit certain websites, there are popup advertisements that flash onto the screen and refuse to go away until you click them closed? Commonplace enough, right? Well, but now on my computer, instead of one popoup ad for orbitz.com or that stupid warning that my computer is broadcasting its IP address and some evil hacker could begin attacking my computer RIGHT NOW, I get five, ten, twenty, thirty six of the same ad opening up successively more and more windows until the whole screen is filled with cascading, identical ads.
You can't even close the windows fast enough. Close one and five more appear. Trying to just ignore them is impossible, as they pop up over the screen which I'm actually trying to read. It's like Mickey and the brooms in Fantasia.
And no, before you ask, I'm not surfing porn sites.
If this has ever happened to you, please drop me a line and let me know if you ever figured out how to fix it. We scanned the computer for viruses and nothing turned up. We tried to block cookies from these sites, erasing all my cookies off the computer, and no dice.
I have two hundred windows for E-Zmortgage.com on my computer and there's nothing I can do about it.
xo Michelle
P.S. In other news, to show you just how ridiculous and small my life has become, I am on a mission to collect all 4 talking Simpsons watches from Burger King. So far I'm only missing the Bart "cool your jets, man" watch. The Homer "Mmmm, burger" watch is currently adorning my left wrist. I'm so awesome. But don't be fooled by the watches that I got, I'm still Michelle from the block. |
